This January, I’ve decided to kick off a bit of a declutter challenge. I want to see if tidying up my workspace can somehow clear up my mind when it comes to business too.
Start off the new year organized with me and let’s dive into some easy-breezy ways to declutter and update your website.
(It’s a scene I’m sure loads of mompreneurs can relate to, right?😅😅)
This January, I’ve decided to kick off a bit of a declutter challenge. I want to see if tidying up my workspace can somehow clear up my mind when it comes to business too.
The plan? Each day, I get rid of a bunch of stuff. Day 1 – bye-bye to one thing, Day 2 – two things hit the road, and so on. But hey, I’m not sticking to it religiously. Some days, like yesterday, I waved goodbye to 14 things!
Lately, decluttering has become my thing. I’ve got this shiny new planner, and I’ve been scribbling down goals for the home and business each week. I’m trying to make my everyday hustle a bit smoother, tweaking my processes to better fit my services, sprucing up my portfolio, and setting some genuinely doable goals for the coming year.
Running a business with a toddler in tow can feel like a circus act sometimes, but hey, it’s all about figuring it out. This year, I’m ready to roll with the punches and handle whatever comes my way…hopefully without losing my cool!
Let’s start with a chill walk through your brand and website. Think of it like window shopping your own business. Check out what’s working for you and what’s not – remember to keep it real. The cool stuff stays, the not-so-cool stuff? That’s gotta go.
You definitely don’t want your peeps getting lost in a maze, right? So, keep your website navigation as simple as a Sunday morning. Double-check those links and make sure they’re taking folks to the right spots.
Like a breath of fresh air, keep your website content fresh and up-to-date. The world changes, so your content should too. Make sure your blog posts links are taking peeps where they need to go and not to a dead-end 404 error page. And hey, why not throw some new pictures on your About page?
Show your website’s SEO some love. Sprinkle in those keywords like they’re fairy dust, jazz up those meta descriptions, and don’t forget to add alt text to your images. Your SEO will thank you!
